About

My name is Linden Huizinga. Born in Holland, I have grown up here in southern Ontario, Canada. I am in my thirty’s and earn my living as a social worker. I love and am passionate about many things – dogs, nature, books, farmers markets, cheese, travel and so much more. I was diagnosed with a variety of auto immune diseases when I was 20 and have struggled with them since. In 2011 I had a life saving liver transplant and now am dealing with kidney failure.

I have a life full of amazing blessings but also some unfulfilled dreams and struggle. I live with my amazing Cuban Canadian husband Joel and our dog Bilbo.

This blog is my attempt to write and chronicle life as a healing tool and a way to explore current reality and reach out and share some thoughts with the big world outside.

Yes, it’s a great start! I’m so glad you decided to start a blog, Lin 🙂 It will be good for you, and I’m sure it will help others out there. Baby M was just waving at the beautiful picture of you with the butterfly, by the way 😀
